Greens Eggs and Ham is a 10 acre mixed farm near the Edmonton International Airport.
We believe in a sustainable approach to farming and maximize nutrient use from fowl to gardens.
It is important to us to produce health conscious products for ourselves and our consumers, all our products are low in saturated fats and free of common allergens.
We naturally produce odd, unusual, heritage & healthy products to add color, flavor and texture to plating.
Our product line includes every possible type of vegetable we can grow, potatoes, duck eggs, duck, geese, game hens, turkeys and guinea fowl.
We do not believe in mass produced anything, be it fowl, potatoes, eggs or vegetables. Mass production has considered only that which can grow quickly, uniformly, be harvested quickly and store well with no concern for flavor and nutrition.
We do not accept status quo in anything we do but strive for better and different:
-carrots are not orange and our beets are not red
-potatoes are heritage varieties that have color, flavor and texture without butter and sour cream
-meat ducks are hybrid to ensure equal sizing of legs and breast and an even distribution of fat all around
-eggs are duck eggs, with an alkaline base, no known allergies, no digestive problems, a creamy yolk and thick egg whites, they are superior for everything. They are the preferred baking eggs for many European pastry chefs.
We have a full line of processed products with our ducks and turkeys that are fat, filler and additive free.
